ABOUT KAElA LEONE

Kaela Leone is a photographer of atmosphere, feeling, and form.

Based in Toronto and working worldwide, she documents design-led celebrations and experience-forward events with a documentary instinct and an editorial eye. Her work lives in the in-between: the texture of a room before it fills, the movement of a dress, the hands, the glances, the florals, the table after dinner, the small evidence of a day fully lived.

Drawn to the personal over the expected, Kaela photographs weddings and gatherings with a distinct point of view: celebrations shaped by fashion, food, music, design, and feeling. Working across digital and film, her approach is intuitive and observant, preserving the fleeting details and unrepeatable energy that make each occasion entirely its own.

At the root of her work is a deep love for connection and community. She is endlessly moved by the way people show up for one another: the quiet tenderness, the joyful chaos, the grandparents, the babies, the dogs, the dance floor, and all the moments no one could have planned for.

Her work has been published globally in Vogue, as well as in The Anti-Bride and 100 Layer Cake. She has also been named one of the Top 15 Wedding Photographers in Canada by The Wed and one of the Top 19 Wedding Photographers in Canada by Wed Vibes.

When she’s not behind the camera, you can find her singing covers of soul classics, telling stories in a big Italian way, gestures and all, shooting rolls of personal film, or spending time with her wife and their dogs.
